Day 01: Arrival in Taipei

Upon arriving at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), you will be greeted and assisted with your transfer to Taipei. A private car with a driver will take you directly to your hotel. Since there is no guide included, you can simply relax and enjoy the ride as you get your first glimpse of Taiwan’s bustling capital.

After checking in at your hotel, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. You may choose to unwind in your room after your journey or take a stroll around the neighborhood to get a feel for the city. If you’re in the mood to explore, you can head to Ximending, Taipei’s lively shopping and entertainment district, where you’ll find a mix of street performances, trendy boutiques, and delicious street food. For a more cultural experience, you can visit the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, an iconic landmark surrounded by beautiful gardens. As evening falls, you might want to visit one of Taipei’s famous night markets, such as Raohe or Shilin, to sample local delicacies like stinky tofu, pepper buns, and bubble tea.

After an exciting first evening in Taipei, return to your hotel.

Day 02: Thousand Island Lake & Pinglin Tea Plantation Tour

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will have a relaxed morning before departing for your afternoon tour. At 1:30 PM, you will join a seat-in-coach tour (a shared group tour) to explore the scenic beauty of Thousand Island Lake and the lush tea plantations of Pinglin.

The first stop of the tour is Thousand Island Lake, a stunning reservoir surrounded by emerald green mountains. The view of the lake, dotted with countless small islands, creates a picturesque setting that is perfect for photography. After soaking in the beautiful landscape, you will proceed to the Bagua Tea Plantation, one of Taiwan’s most famous tea-growing regions. The tea terraces stretch over the hills in a breathtaking pattern, and you’ll learn about the cultivation process of Taiwan’s high-mountain oolong tea.

Next, you will visit the Pinglin Tea Museum, where you’ll gain insights into the rich history and culture of tea in Taiwan. The museum showcases the traditional tea-making process and the significance of tea in daily life. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a tea-tasting session, where you will experience the delicate flavors of freshly brewed Taiwanese tea and learn the proper way to prepare and enjoy it.

After the tour concludes at 5:30 PM, you will return to Taipei, where you will have the evening to yourself. If you’re looking for more adventure, you might consider taking a short hike up Elephant Mountain for a panoramic view of the city skyline, or simply relax at a cozy teahouse in one of Taipei’s historic districts.

Day 03: Free Day at Leisure

Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and enjoy a completely free day to explore Taipei at your own pace. This is a great opportunity to visit some of the city’s iconic landmarks or venture out on a day trip to the surrounding areas.

If you’re interested in history and culture, a visit to the National Palace Museum is highly recommended. Home to one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese imperial artifacts, this museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the country’s rich heritage. For a relaxing experience, you can head to Beitou Hot Springs, where you can soak in natural thermal baths surrounded by lush greenery.

For those looking for a more adventurous outing, a day trip to Jiufen and Shifen would be an excellent choice. Jiufen, a charming hillside town, is known for its narrow alleyways, red lantern-lit tea houses, and stunning ocean views. Shifen, on the other hand, is famous for its railway market and the tradition of releasing sky lanterns into the sky, making for a magical experience.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to stay in Taipei, you can explore Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf, a scenic waterfront area perfect for a relaxing stroll and fresh seafood dining.

After a fulfilling day, return to your hotel and prepare for your departure the next morning.

A private car with a driver will pick you up and transfer you to Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) for your departure.
