Day 1: Yerevan Airport Arrival - Transfer to the Hotel - Yerevan O/N

Day 2: Yerevan HTL - Yerevan Full Day City Tour - Yerevan O/N (B)

Today we are visiting the beautiful and lively capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Our city tour starts at the Metekhi Depart for the Yerevan full day city tour that includes all the major sights of the capital. Yerevan is on the list as one of the world’s “Oldest continuously inhabited cities “, dating back to 8th century BC. It's very lively with open cafes, eateries and local markets. Enjoy a panoramic view of Opera House, the magnificent scenery of the two ice-capped biblical Mount Ararat, Swan Lake, Northern Avenue and Republic Square which is considered one of the most amazing and famous

places of the capital. Visit Cafesjian Center for the Arts and Sculpture Garden. The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. Inspired by the vision of its founder, Gerard L. Cafesjian, the Center offers a wide variety of exhibitions, including a selection of important work from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection of contemporary art. Having celebrated its grand opening in November 2009, CCA continues to exhibit unique works of modern and contemporary art and offers a diverse program of lectures, films,

concerts, and numerous educational initiatives for adults and children. Over one million people have visited the Center annually since its opening.

Visit Vernissage outdoor flea market where you can find local crafts jewelry, needlework as well as traditional carpets, books and t-shirts with traditional design. A favorite place also for the locals who are looking for original presents for their loved ones as well as for diaspora leaving out of the country’s boundaries. (fully open on weekends only and partly on weekdays). Visit “Gumi Shuka”, an Armenian indoor market, where you can have especially handpicked selection of local homemade products: dried fruits, pickles, spices. Experience the extreme hospitality of the vendors who will be simply offended if you don’t try a piece of their home-made product.

Day 3: Yerevan HTL – Levon’s Cave - Garni Temple - Symphony of Stones – Azat River gorge - Yerevan O/N (B)

Head to master Levon’s cave who dig on his own a labyrinth under his house using simple tools for 20 years. The length of the labyrinth is approximately 21 meters? Visit Garni village, famous for its Hellenistic pagan temple of the 1st c. It’s the only pagan temple that survived after the Christianization of Armenia. The place is particularly famous for its nice landscapes and the extraordinary view opening to the gorge and surrounding mountains. Visiting the Garni Bathhouse provides a unique opportunity to experience ancient bathing rituals and appreciate the architectural achievements of the past. The Garni Bathhouse is a well-preserved example of medieval Armenian architecture. It was constructed during the 3rd century AD and showcases the ingenuity of ancient engineering and construction methods.

Enjoy lavash (local bread) baking process. Lavash (traditional thin bread) forms an integral part of Armenian cuisine (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage).

Free time for lunch.

Descend the Azat River Gorge, where the “Symphony of Stones” or “Basalt Organ” seats. Those basalt columns were formed as a result of slow-moving lava. This natural monument is the highlight of the area and a favorite picnic spot for the locals.

Drive back to Yerevan.

Day 5: Yerevan HTL - Amberd Fortress - Gyumri City tour - Gyumri O/N (B)

Visit Amberd Fortress, the name translates into “fortress in the clouds” in Armenian. This 7th-c. fortress located 2,300 m above sea level is situated on the slopes of Mt. Aragats so you will enjoy the surrounding landscape and alpine flowers on the wings of the mountain. Amberd is one of the few well preserved forts in the area and it used to have all the necessary equipment to protect the inhabitants of the times, its particularly secret water supply system is a special point of attraction and highlight of the place. Continue to drive to Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city, famous for its rich history, charming architecture, and warm- hearted locals. During the City Tour you will discover the 18th-19th century unique architecture and the most hospitable people. This city tour will take you through the highlights of Gyumri, giving you a glimpse of its cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere. Day 6: Gyumri HTL - Dashtadem Fortress - Armenia Tree Projects Nursery in Karin - Culinary Master Class in Ashtarak - Yerevan O/N (B)

Visit Dashtadem Fortress which was built in the 11th-13th centuries, and in the Middle Ages it bores great defensive significance. Visit Tree Nursery of Armenia Tree Project in Karin village in Aragatsotn province. The nursery has two greenhouses equipped with modern agricultural technologies and an outdoor area protected with shading and hail netting for plants in containers. You will be given an up-close introduction to the different species of trees and shrubs which they propagate and prepare for planting. You’ll get to see exotic flowers and even learn how to give trees proper care. You will also have change to plant your tree in Armenia. Continue to Ashtarak. Participate in culinary master class during which you will prepare one of the traditional Armenian dishes. A culinary master class in Ashtarak is a fantastic way to experience the rich flavors and traditional Armenian cuisine firsthand. This hands-on cooking experience will take you on a culinary journey, guided by skilled chefs who will share their expertise and passion for Armenian gastronomy.

  • We are not responsible for delayed or lost luggage. Luggage is the sole responsibility of the airline. Should luggage reach the destination after the client due to delayed/lost luggage by the airline, we will certainly deliver the luggage to the clients even when they are on tour already. However, in case the airline is not covering the delivery costs, the clients have to pay us cash on spot for the costs of luggage delivery.

Highlights

This 7-day Armenian adventure starts with arrival in Yerevan and a full-day city tour exploring one of the world’s oldest inhabited capitals, including Republic Square, Mount Ararat views, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, and bustling local markets like Vernissage and Gumi Shuka. Day 3 highlights include Levon’s hand-dug underground cave, the iconic 1st-century Garni Temple, a lavash baking experience, and the breathtaking basalt formations at the Azat River Gorge known as the “Symphony of Stones.” After a leisure day in Yerevan, the journey continues to Amberd Fortress, perched high on Mount Aragats, and then to the cultural city of Gyumri, known for its historic architecture and warm locals. Day 6 offers a visit to the medieval Dashtadem Fortress, a hands-on environmental experience at the Armenia Tree Project nursery in Karin, and a traditional Armenian culinary masterclass in Ashtarak before returning to Yerevan. The tour concludes with a transfer to Zvartnots International Airport for departure.
