About The Tour

Begin in Rome, where you’ll explore iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Roman forums, and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. Enjoy a free day in Rome to immerse yourself in its vibrant atmosphere before traveling to Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, where you’ll visit the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Next, discover the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the charming Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by the historic city of Genoa. Your adventure continues with a visit to the beautiful town of Portofino, before heading to Milan, the fashion capital of the world. From there, explore the serene Italian Lakes region, including Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore, and marvel at the Borromean Islands. Conclude your journey in the romantic city of Verona and Venice, where you’ll enjoy a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square and the opportunity to visit a Murano glass workshop. This unforgettable tour showcases Italy’s finest cities and breathtaking landscapes, leaving you with lasting memories of a truly remarkable experience.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Friday – Rome
Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to the hotel where you’ll have some free time. Later in the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

Day 2: Saturday – Rome
We’ll begin with a scenic tour of Rome, the capital of Italy and one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilization. Highlights include the Colosseum, the Roman forums, central squares and fountains, and the vibrant life of the city. The tour will conclude at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, an independent microstate within Rome and the heart of the Catholic Church. You’ll have the chance to visit the basilica and museums.
In the evening, we’ll include a transfer to Trastevere, a lively neighbourhood renowned for its charming traditional restaurants.

Day 3: Sunday – Rome
Enjoy a free day in Rome to explore its many attractions at your leisure and discover the city’s unforgettable charm.

Day 4: Monday – Rome to Florence
We’ll journey to Florence, the capital of Tuscany. Upon arrival, we’ll stop at the Michelangelo viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the city. Afterwards, a local guide will lead us on a sightseeing tour of this iconic destination, considered the cradle of the Renaissance. Highlights include the Gothic cathedral Duomo di Firenze, the historic Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria, the city’s political heart.

Day 5: Tuesday – Florence to Pisa, Cinque Terre, and Genoa
Today, we’ll travel to Pisa, where a small tourist train will take us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, home of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Next, we’ll head to the Ligurian Riviera and visit the stunning Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This picturesque area, comprised of five villages, is accessible only by train, and you’ll have time to explore one of these charming towns.
After lunch, we’ll take a train to Levanto and continue by bus to Genoa, a city rich in history that once thrived as a medieval republic.
Note: The train to Cinque Terre is a regular commuter service. During peak times, long waits and standing room only are possible.

Day 6: Wednesday – Genoa to Portofino and Milan
We’ll travel to Santa Margherita Ligure, where we’ll board a boat to the exclusive town of Portofino. Stroll by the sea and enjoy leisure time before continuing to Milan. In the evening, we recommend a visit to Milan’s famous cathedral.
Note: During winter, boat service to Portofino may be unavailable. Additional time will be spent in Santa Margherita, and an urban minibus to Portofino may be an alternative.

Day 7: Thursday – Milan to Lakes Region and Verona
Discover the scenic beauty of the Italian Lakes region, starting with Lake Orta and the medieval town of Orta San Giulio. From there, we’ll take a boat to the Island of San Giulio to explore its monastery. Next, we’ll visit Lake Maggiore and make a stop in Stresa, with the option to visit the stunning Borromean Islands, including Isola Bella with its gardens and palace.
After lunch, we’ll continue to Verona.

Note: During winter, the Orta train may not operate, requiring a short walk to the medieval town.
Day 8: Friday – Verona to Venice
We’ll start the day in Verona, the romantic city of Romeo and Juliet, before traveling to Venice. Upon arrival, a boat trip to St. Mark’s Square is included, followed by a guided walking tour of Venice, including a visit to a Murano glass workshop. The afternoon is free for leisure activities, such as a gondola ride. Accommodation will be in the Mestre district.

Day 9: Saturday – Venice
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with wonderful memories of your time in Italy.
